The City of Radomsko as a local authority carries out the tasks intended to satisfy all community needs of its inhabitants. These tasks are undertaken by appointed institutions. One of the most important areas in Radomsko are public education and social assistance. It is here, that activities for children, youths and families are arranged and undertaken, in conjunction with The  Family matter project. In Radomsko the education system in the city includes: 9 Public Nurseries, 10 Primary Schools, 8 Gymnasiums, 7 High Schools and 1 College. However, the  isuess of social care are implemented by the Municipality Centre of Social Assistance.

  Cities activities in these areas especially include:

  • organization and day to day running of nurseries, elementary schools and middle schools (children aged 6-15); organization and supervision over extracurricular activities carried out in subordinated units; coordination of the work of educational establishments; cooperation with organizations from outside the government in order to execute joint educational and cultural ventures;
  • promotion of students’ achievements and successes; cooperation with local institutions, societies and organizations, whose statutory objective is to act in aid of children and youth;
  • cooperation with local institutions in the scope of shaping pro-family policy; preparation, execution and coordination of social programs; popularization and promotion of pro-health attitudes.

Important events in the city related to children, youth and families:

Radomsko Days – an annual event inaugurating the beginning of summer holidays. Concerts, promotion exhibitions, attractions for children. During Radomsko Days 2009, the town's residents tried to break the record of cooking the biggest amount of soup called "zalewajka". They tried to achieve it together with The Culinary Theatre of Krzysztof Górski. 2,5 tones of "zalewajka" were cooked (about 11 thousand portions). This record appeared in the Polish Book of Records and Oddities. What is more, "zalewajka" was put on the List of Traditional Products.

Radomsko Open by Night – the only night in the whole year when Radomsko is not asleep. Shops, clubs and cultural institutions are open into the small hours. Participants can enjoy various concerts, fireshow, photographic and art exhibitions, film marathons and other attractions in the town.

Christmas Eve for Radomsko residents – a Christmas event for the residents of the town. Common carol singing, Christmas dishes and a live crib.

A Health Picnic – the first edition of this event took place in 2009. The program included free occlusion test, dentition test, blood pressure measurement, the measurement of sugar and cholesterol level, spirometry, electrocardiography, basic ophthalmological tests. The event was joined with the celebrations of Children's Day.

The Sports Week – an event encouraging Radomsko residents, especially youth, to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Różewicz Open Festival – a serial cultural event (since 2008 under the name of "3x Różewicz Festival") commemorating and popularizing the artistic activity of the Różewicz brothers, who come from Radomsko. An event filled theatre, music, film and poetry.
