Lincolnshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services is a membership organisation that provides support services to those working with children and young people across Lincolnshire. Our goal is to help build a brighter future for them and act as the voice of the Voluntary Sector of the Youth Services in Lincolnshire on behalf of voluntary and community youth organisations including main uniformed organisations as well as individual, independent youth groups and those providing a service or facility for young people.

What does LCVYS do ?

  • Offers support, help and advice to member organisations and projects.
  • Provide a voice for those working with children and young people on local, regional and national bodies.
  • Provides opportunities to share information, expertise and experience through regular meetings, forums, mailings and networking opportunities.
  • Provide access to CRB checks.
  • Signposting to valuable information on resources, policies and funding opportunities.
  • Signposting to information on activities for young people.
  • Provide information about training and development opportunities for adult volunteers and staff working within voluntary youth organisations.
  • Link to other business and voluntary agencies that provide help and support.
  • Provide a website with up to date information on developments in Children’s Services and other related areas.

Our purporse is to:

Help and advance the education of young people through the work of its members and to promote their potential development physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as member of their local, national and international communities and seeks active partnerships with other parties to enable this.
Where it is able LCVYS works with its members to combat discrimination on grounds of sex, gender, age, marital status, responsibility for dependants, race and ethnic origin, beliefs and sexual orientation and disabilities.
